On September 1, 2026, Glory Oiltech (Henan Glory) successfully signed an order for a 3 TPH palm kernel oil processing plant with a client from Nigeria. This project marks a significant expansion for the client, who previously engaged in small-scale, self-processing of palm kernels and is now upgrading to a fully automated industrial production line.
Notably, this order was signed on the same day as the client's 30 TPD soybean oil processing plant project (see the related article for details). Technical Solution: Why Double Pressing?
Based on the client's raw material characteristics and the goal of maximizing oil yield, Glory Oiltech designed a Double Pressing Process. Unlike a single pressing line, this configuration extracts oil twice to ensure the residual oil in the cake is minimized.
This 3 TPH palm kernel oil processing project utilizes the following equipment configuration:
1. Preparation & Softening Section
The process begins with the crusher to reduce the size of the palm kernels. The material is then lifted to the vertical softener (Ø2100mm, 5 layers).

Key Feature: The softener is equipped with a biomass steam generator. Proper softening adjusts the moisture and temperature of the kernels, which is critical for protecting the oil quality and ensuring a high extraction rate in the subsequent pressing stages.
2. 1st Stage Pressing (Primary Extraction)
The softened kernels are fed into 6 sets of YZYX168B palm kernel oil presses.
Configuration: This heavy-duty setup ensures that the 3 TPH input is processed efficiently. The YZYX168B is a high-capacity screw press known for its durability and high throughput.
Oil Collection: The crude oil flows into a clarification tank with steam heating coils to keep the oil fluid, then moves to the filtration stage.

3. 2nd Stage Pressing (Secondary Extraction)
The cake from the first stage is conveyed via a cake screw conveyor to the second pressing line.
Equipment: This stage utilizes 4 sets of YZYX168C oil presses.
Benefit: By pressing the cake a second time, the client can extract residual oil that a single press would leave behind, significantly increasing the total oil yield and profitability.
4. Oil Filtration System
To ensure the quality of the final crude palm kernel oil, the line is equipped with 2 sets of plate oil filters (filtration pressure ≥ 0.6 MPa). This equipment effectively removes solid impurities, producing clear oil ready for storage or further refining.
