Depending on the features of each raw material, they grow in the different places, such as there are much sesame, rapeseed, peanut/groundnut in China. High oil content raw materials are: sunflower, peanut/groundnut, rapeseed, corn germ, sesame, and palm kernel. Low oil content raw materials are: soybean, rice bran, cottonseed.

Because of the different oil content and features of the different raw material, they need the different technology and machine when manufacture the cooking oil. The high oil content raw materials usually use pretreatment, pre-pressing and solvent extraction method. But the low oil content raw materials normally use pretreatment and solvent extraction method.
